Colin’s 30+ year career has spanned four continents across many industries and almost every type of equity and debt investing and financing, including commodities, real estate, and venture, private equity and private credit.
Colin has managed up to $1bn+ in client portfolios on the buyside and completed over $5bn of financing transactions.
He has served as a Board Member, Board Advisor, and CFO/COO for multiple organizations, including as CFO/COO and in marketing/IR for two investment funds. He served as a long term advisor to GMT Capital and Madison Dearborn Partners.
Colin started his career as an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston and then GMAC (now Berkadia, part of Leucadia and Berkshire Hathaway), focused on both raising and investing capital.
Colin then spent 17 years at four investment funds including LongPond, Steadfast, Minetta Lane and Black Oak. He served as Analyst and Portfolio Manager focused on special situations in financials, real estate, consumer and industrials.
Colin started Leelanau in 2023 to return to his advisory roots. In this capacity, Colin is advising clients on a wide range of matters, including investments, portfolio management, capital formation and portfolio restructuring.
Colin holds a B.S. with Honors from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
